Design a ring

You don’t have to be a designer to design rings. Everyone and anyone can design rings these days, all you need is a hood eye, imagination, and knowing which materials fit together.

To design rings you can also just use a pencil, a piece of paper, and an eraser. You just need to be creative and draw your dream ring then you can take it to a ring designer or a jewellery shop and designer to construct the ring for you.

To design rings there are a few things to keep in mind. You need to think about what metal you would like to use, whether you want it to be a durable metal or an inexpensive or expensive metal. The metal will be your base. You need to then choose the material or gem you would like to go along with it. Will it be a diamond, gem, emerald etc? Not all gems will have a range of colours so you need to make sure the material you are using will match the metal. Next, you can decide on the cut of the diamond or gem etc. Make sure it isn’t too big for the ring size or too small.

Once you have all that in mind you can start sketching what you want your ring to look like. It doesn’t need to be perfect. You can then take it to a jeweler to construct it for you.

Designing rings will take time and a lot of patience. Your first attempt may not be the one you want, it may not be what you had in mind. So play around with some ideas till you find the perfect one. It can be an expensive and inexpensive process. Sometimes it may be better to just buy a ring you like. It’s not as easy as it looks to design rings.

If you still want to design rings you can go ahead, keep in mind all the different metals and stones. You need to always be different and unique because there are so many different personalities and each person has their own taste.
